Validate Existing Workflows

<p>The <strong>Validate Existing Workflows</strong> component supports governance processes by validating workflows associated with selected teams and spaces. You can choose whether to apply actions to workflows that are <strong>deployed</strong>, <strong>hosted</strong> inside the selected teams and spaces.</p><p>The workflow follows four key steps:</p><ol><li><p><strong>Configure Settings</strong><br>Use the first two configuration components to define how the workflow should behave, particularly in determining where to apply labels and if to perform the checks or apply the label directly</p></li><li><p><strong>Run Metadata Validation (if checks are enabled)</strong><br>Execute governance checks on workflow metadata. Each workflow is evaluated against defined rules, resulting in pass or fail outcomes for specific governance criteria.</p></li><li><p><strong>Map Results to Governance Actions (if checks are enabled)</strong><br>Associate validation outcomes with governance actions such as labeling workflows, moving them to different locations, or triggering notifications.</p></li><li><p><strong>Execute Governance Actions</strong><br>Prepare and carry out the configured actions based on the rule outcomes and selected workflow scope (deployed or hosted).</p></li></ol><p>This workflow can be deployed as-is for immediate use, but it is primarily intended as a <strong>blueprint</strong> for tailoring governance logic to your organization’s specific needs.</p>
