High Standard Deviation SAP Transactions
This workflow is useful to analyse the distribution of any numeric field within the population of records from the source table. The workflow also identifies numeric values within the source table that have unusually high or low values relative to the rest of the population. In this example we are looking at vendor invoices for one Company Code, but the analysis can be applied to a wide variety of SAP data.
Standard deviation measures the variability of a population, and it is also commonly used to measure confidence in statistical conclusions. Stratification of data, often used with standard deviation analysis, can highlight transactions that are unexpected or that are potentially high-risk. Standard deviation analysis assists managers with understanding the dispersion of activities, that is, how consistent or inconsistent the data is.
