This workflow is useful to identify and reduce duplication of entries in master data files by detecting any entries that have slightly different spellings. The existence of such duplicates can result in incomplete management reporting and decision-making, and could be either unintentional or the result of fraud. In this specific example we are looking at SAP Vendor Master records but the workflow can be applied to a wide variety of data (e.g., employees, customers, vendors etc.)
