Exercise 01 - Importing Text

Learning objective: In this exercise, you will practice importing textual data and basic pre-processing on it.

Workflow description: This workflow allows you to import textual data, perform basic pre-processing and convert strings to KNIME's native Document data type.

You’ll find the instructions for the exercises in the yellow annotations.

Import text data and convert it to Document

1. Use the Table Reader node to import data from:
   TripadvisorReviews-SanFranciscoRestaurants-ItalianChineseFood.table

2. Filter rows with missing titles.

3. Convert strings to documents with the Strings To Documents node.

4. Filter all columns except the column containing the documents.
