<p><strong>Data manipulation example</strong></p><p>KNIME provides a variety of nodes to apply formulas and expressions across different data types, enabling users to <strong>calculate</strong>, <strong>manipulate</strong>, and <strong>transform </strong>data.</p><p>This example workflow showcases various nodes to <strong>manipulate string values</strong>, <strong>transform numeric values</strong>, and <strong>generate new columns</strong> based on a user-defined logic.</p><p>In addition, it demonstrates the power of the <em>Expression </em>node for data manipulation. It enables row-by-row data processing to add or replace columns through a variety of functions which enable various <strong>string</strong>, <strong>logic</strong>, and <strong>math operations</strong>. The <em>Expression</em> node was released with KNIME Analytics Platform v5.4 and combines the functionalities of the <em>Rule Engine</em>, <em>Math Formula</em>, <em>Case Converter</em>, and <em>String Manipulation</em> nodes.</p>
