Pie Chart Visualization

• This workflow demonstrates how to create a Pie Chart using data from the WHO GLOBAL HEALTH OBSERVATORY.

• We are using data on total cases for four Vaccine-preventable communicable diseases (Diphtheria, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) in 2020, categorized by country, region, and World Bank Income Group

• You can download the dataset here: WHO GLOBAL HEALTH OBSERVATORY.

Standard Configuration

1. Double-click the node or hover over the node and click on the gear icon to open the configuration window.

2. Save and execute to see your changes directly there.

3. To apply and save your changes, click OK.

Enriched configuration

We manually selected Granularity as the Category dimension from the dataset.

As the Frequency dimension, we chose the column #Reported cases.

Plot

• Added Title and axis labels

• Pie Chart size and Donut (with custom size)

• Label position outside

Interactivity

• Show tooltip

• Enable Animation

• Enable download

• Publish and subscribe selection

Flow Variable Version

Right-click > Configure Flow Variables...
In the example, we control some plot and interactivity
options with boolean flow variables (enable: true or false).

Data App

• To open the view, hover over the component and click the lens icon.

• To access the component, right-click and select "Component", then choose "Open Component".

• With a Single Selection and a Nominal Value filter Widget, we are dynamically visualizing diseases distribution by Geo Granularity and disease type.
