KNIME Views (Labs) - Variables Handling

This workflow shows how to use flow variables within the new KNIME Views nodes.

To find them in the Node Repository go to KNIME Labs >KNIME Views (Labs).
Those nodes are providing a new fancy way to build your visualization in KNIME

Specially useful to dynamically change granularity, switch dimensions or measures, or deep dive your input data.

KNIME Views (Labs) Example This example shows how to handle flow variables with the new KNIME Views nodes. Using flow variables is very useful if you want to build dynamic visualizations and Data Apps, since it adds the possibility to customize your views depending on the input data. Flow variables configuration 1. Right-click the View node 2. Click on Configure Flow Variables 3. Select which element of the chart should be controlled by a dynamic variable. eg. In the Bar Chart on the left we are controlling the following elements with flow variables: • Category column • Aggregation method • Title • Category-Axis label • Frequency-Axis label Right-click > Component >OpenTo explore how variableshave been created that aredynamically managing thecharts elementsDouble-click to change Dategranularity and KPI (UniqueUsers or Sessions) Dummy website data with basic KPIs: Sessions and Unique UsersBy Date and source GroupGrouping dynamicallyon Date | Week | Month | YearPivoting by Acquisition SourceTrend line data KPI (sessions or Unique Users)by Aggregation DateHorizontal Bar Chartshowing selected KPIaggregated by Acquisition Source and DateCSV Reader GroupBy Pivoting Chart VariablesConfiguration Line Plot (Labs) Bar Chart (Labs) KNIME Views (Labs) Example This example shows how to handle flow variables with the new KNIME Views nodes.
