Example Data App - Sales Apportionment

Data App automates the calculation steps for sales tax report for the subscription data with dynamic selection of the 12-months period. Based on the user-specified start date of the taxation period, the Data App will automatically take the active membership falling into this period and compute the total sales per state based on the subscription fee.

Sales Apportionment Logic:
- Sales where billing zip code is unknown are being apportioned to all participating states.
- For the sake of simplicity, we have assumed that all states determine apportionment solely based on sales (i.e. not considering payroll and property apportionment factors.
