Histogram VAL

Histogram analysis reveals the distribution of continuous numeric or date values in a column. Histogram analysis is also referred to as binning because it counts the occurrence of values in a series of numeric ranges called bins.

Options

Bins With Boundaries

Specifies the number of bins spanning a range specified by the minimum and maximum values. E.g. if you want 5 bins ranging from 0 to 200, type in seperate entries with the different numbers (5, 0 , 200).

Bins

Specifies the number of equal width bins to create.

Boundaries

Specifies the boundaries that define the bins. E.g. if you want two boundaries then type for example {0, 50000, 100000, 150000} and {0, 50, 100} as seperate entries.

Input Columns

Specifies the name(s) of the column(s) to analyze.

Filter

Specifies the clause to filter rows selected for analysis within Histogram. E.g. income > 0 (where income is an input column).

Histogram Style

Specifies the histogram style to use for analysis.

Overlay Columns

Specifies a categorical variable with only a few values.

Quantiles

Specifies the number of approximately equally populated bins to create.

Statistics Columns

Specifies a list of numeric columns/aliases for which simple statistics are calculated (minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation) in each bin.

Widths

Specifies the width of the bins to create.
