BLASTThis example shows how to run the BLAST RESTful interfaces to submit BLAST searches inside ofKNIME Analytics Platform. BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) is a fast and robust algorithmthat finds regions of similarity between biological sequences. In this example we use BLAST insideKNIME Analytics Platform to compare DNA extracted from a bone with a database of DNA sequencesand find out which organism the bone belongs to.
