The Column Splitter node is quite simple. It splits the columns in the input table into two output tables. You choose which columns go into which output port by placing them into the "top" and "bottom" sections of the configuration menu.
This procedure can be useful if your original table has a subset of columns that need to be analyzed in a different way than a different subset of columns from the same table. After performing whatever analyses are necessary, you can recombine the tables via the Joiner or Column Appender nodes.
